In this opinion article posted in the Austin American Statesman, Rick Perry is commenting on how he doesn’t agree with Obama cutting the funding for Woman’s health care facilities such as Planned Parenthood in Texas. He believes that Obama is only doing so because of the facilities’ “Pro- abortion agenda.” I agree with him because I don’t believe that the president should butt into something that is up to the state to decide. If we want Planned Parenthood facilities and are willing to pay taxes to fund them for girls who can’t afford to go somewhere else then we should be allowed to do so. I strongly believe that it should be up to each state to decide, just like we decide whether to legalize abortion or not. Perry has many good points in his article and his audience would be Texas Women because its an issue that Texas woman should be informed about. Perry has a lot of credibility because he is our governor and has to know about these things and works hard to get us what we want.
